Dr. Mager’s Approach

Dr. Mager’s approach to health and well-being is based on retraining the nervous system. Modern science has discovered the nervous system is undisputedly in charge of every aspect of your life, including your health.

Dr. Mager’s chiropractic approach is referred to as “tonal.” This means the tone of your nervous system, as determined through skillful touch, is the reflector of your health. A relaxed nervous system allows the body to be at ease, the opposite of dis-ease, and move well. This approach is one of two reasons so many professional athletes, musicians, and thousands of your Western Pa neighbors have sought care in this office.

Specific techniques utilized are:

  • Nimmo or acupressure
  • Torque Release Technique
  • Pierce Stillwagon Technique
  • Diversified Technique
  • Cox Technique

For those requiring gentle techniques to restore your health, be comforted by knowing our patients range from newborn to 100 years old. For those needing a more physical approach, our care is consistent in what we have provided to 290 pound professional football players.

Other services include nutritional counseling and exercise recommendations. We even carry exceptional lines of supplements (Standard Process and Greens First) that are high-quality yet reasonably priced as well as Neti Pots and salt.

Our Patients Say It Best

What I thought would be a "quick fix" for pain relief has evolved into a better understanding of myself and how my body works. My understanding of what "health" is and how to stay healthy has changed. I have become "tuned into' how my body is feeling. After each adjustment, I feel a sort of release, or relief... a freedom of movement that is hard to express in words.
